Why Get Involved with Leaders of Impact?

The drive to make a difference.

Leaders of Impact is an inclusive initiative to drive equitable health for all and raise funds to support the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association in local communities.

Each year a select group of changemakers across the country are nominated to participate in this signature fundraising competition.

Nominees will bring together champions from within their networks to form an Impact Team, set a goal, explore fundraising opportunities and have a direct impact on heart health. Together, they are a relentless force, using their voices to advance health and hope for everyone, everywhere. Why? Because where someone lives should not dictate how long they live.

This special group will be celebrated for the impact they have on our mission and our communities. The nominee whose network makes the largest impact in each market will be named the local Leaders of Impact winner. The nominee who makes the greatest impact across the country will be named the National Leaders of Impact Winner.

Campaign Timeline

Campaign Kick Off
The 2024 Leaders of Impact campaign, a 7-week competition, launches in communities across the country on Thursday, October 17th. 
11/11
Campaign Midpoint
Celebrate your collective impact and ignite your team’s passion to make the greatest impact possible on Monday, November 11th.
12/4
Campaign Culmination 
This 7-week national competition comes to a close for all nominees and teams across the country on Wednesday, December 4th.
